Angshuraj Ghosh is a Kathak exponent who is carrying forward the Jaipur Gharana of Kathak dance with his distinctive powerful yet delicate movements. Angshuraj acquired his training under the able guidance of Guru Pandit Pradipto Niyogi .Shri Niyogi is one of the very few masters who imbibed the dance form from legendary Maestro Pandit Ram Gopal Mishra ,a stalwart of Jaipur Gaharana.

Angshuraj is a highly proficient Kathak dancer and choreographer and has numerous solo, duet and group performances to his credit throughout the length and breadth of India and abroad . Notable among them are All India Music Conference -Allahabad ; Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroho -Maihar,Uday Shankar Nritodsav-Kolkata, Pt Nikhil Banerjee Memorial Music Conference-Kolkata, Ustad Bahadur Khan Music conference-Kolkata, Ekamra Dance Festival -Bhubaneshwar to name a few. His energetic presence on the stage always mesmerizes the spectators by brilliant footwork, well-synchronized rhythmic patterns, bold powerful Nritta i.e. pure dance and subtle Abhinaya. The dancer says “Kathak gives me an innate sense of power and instills a spirit to fight.”

Angshuraj assimilated the nuances of Kathak under the able guidance of Guru Pandit Pradipto Niyogi. Shri Niyogi is one of the few masters who imbibed the dance form from legendary Maestro Pandit Ram Gopal Mishra ,a stalwart of Jaipur Gaharana.Now a days Angshuraj is also a disciple of Great Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani .

Angshuraj is a scholarship holder of West Bengal State Music Academy in Kathak. Prayag Sangeet Samity honored Angshuraj with title “Sangeet Prabhakar” and Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh with title “Visharad” in Kathak Dance. Angshuraj learnt creative dance under the tutelage of legendary Nrityacharya Shri Shambhu Bhattacharya . Angshuraj is also an exponent of Bharatnatyam and Rabindranrittya .

Angshuraj is also an avid dance guru and choreographer, working with children and grooming young talents. His scintillating choreographic works integrate robust movements with subtle gestures and cast a spell of ecstatic experience on the spectators . Angshuraj has considerable choreographic works released in Video CD and he also choreographs for Films to Fashion shows.
